On 2 November 2026 a 50g 21K bridal gold set is about $5,688, or 9.57 million dinars at Baghdad’s market rate. Wedding and gift budget tips for Iraqi families.
Iraq, Monday 2 November 2026. Planning a wedding or a gift this season? Here is what gold costs today.
Gold rose about 1% on Monday after a 6% fall in October, which brought it to its lowest level in a year on Friday. That makes bridal gold somewhat cheaper than it was in September. Today, 21K gold is about $113.75 per gram and 18K about $97.55 per gram at the Dubai benchmark. In Baghdad’s market, the dollar averaged 168,250 dinars per $100 on 1 November.
What it means for families: October’s dip gives wedding buyers a better starting point, but prices are still moving every day.
Example: a 50g 21K bridal set (necklace, bracelet, earrings and ring) is about $5,688 in gold value. At the Baghdad market rate of 1,682.5 dinars per dollar, that is about 9.57 million dinars. The same 50g in 18K is about $4,877, or 8.21 million dinars. Workmanship is added on top.
Advice for customers: agree on a total budget first, then choose the weight. Mixing one 21K centrepiece with lighter 18K pieces can save over a million dinars. Ask for a written price that shows weight, karat and workmanship.
The honest caution: Prices may rise or fall before the wedding day. Buy within your budget, never borrow for wedding gold, and do not rush because of fear of missing out.
